The U.S. Chamber of Commerce

The US Chamber of Commerce (USCC) is a large lobbying
group which seeks to make it easy for businesses to continue to conduct
business without too much
Government regulation. The non-profit organization
is not run by the
Government, but instead it consists of many smaller Chamber of Commerce
groups that come together to form the US
Chamber of Commerce.

The American Chamber of Commerce is
thought to be the lobbying group which spends the most money on enacting change
and preventing laws which would prevent companies from continuing to conduct
business in the manner
to which they are accustomed. For
example, the American
Chamber of Commerce may lobby against an increase in taxes on certain
items out of fear that customers will buy less of that item because of the
increased cost.

The American Chamber of Commerce also seeks to build relationships between
smaller
Chambers of Commerce so that each can learn from each other, such as
the best way to increase business
while ensuring customer satisfaction.

The main purpose of the US Chamber of Commerce is
to prevent changes in laws which would negatively impact businesses. The group
lobbies against taxes and too much regulation on what stores are allowed to
sell.

The US Chamber of Commerce also fosters business relationships between
member companies and helps to ensure that businesses foster relationships with
the communities where they conduct business.
